Topic: Changing a Recordings Name Loses the Song

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

After recording a sample and it showing up in the Recordings, There are 2 choices in the context (right click menu), sample editor and file operations. When I chose open in explorer from file operations and rename the sample, it loses connection with the sample. This means that after you close out of the file explorer after you renamed the sample, Virtual DJ shows the sample in the Recordings list but can't play the new sample name, nor can it delete the new file name.

Any chance this recordings screen can include a volume level as the bug is looked into and fixed :)

Volume field is available. Right-click on the Headers and the Volume field should be available there to select.

About the renaming issue. It seems that it keeps both files there. So if you have renamed your recorded sample, it should be still there, scroll down you will probably see it there.
As for the old one, you can delete it of course.
I am sure Team will take care of the bug.

If you rename from explorer, then vdj will indeed not know that it was renamed.
After re-opening vdj, you should find the renamed file and be able to put it in the required sample bank again though.
