It seems like VirtualDJ 8 does not like some avi videos coded in xvid and will only recognise these videos as audio files hence the audio plays ok but the video display remains blank. In a few cases the video will sometimes pop up ok and in sync but only when it's coming towards the end of the track. All these video files play smoothly on VirtualDJ 7 with no problems whatsoever. I do not have a problem with any other video files in VirtualDJ 8 and I must point out that the problem only occurs with older videos in my library that were ripped from DVDs to avi with the XVID codec. My operating system is a follows:
Lenovo Ideapad Laptop, Window 8.1 (64 bits), Processor: Intel i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.4GHz, Graphics: NVidia Geforce 650M, Memory: 8GB ram, SSD Hard drive: 500GB (main), External Hard drive: 1TB.
Is there any tweaks available to get these video files working? It would be quite a long process to covert these files to MP4 so any help will be greatly appreciated
