This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi. I have just started using Virtual DJ8, and have got an old Hercules DJ Console Mk1. If I buy the Controller Unlock licence will it definitely work under 10.9.5 Mavericks? And 10.10 Yosemite?
Thanks in advance for any help / info.

The Wiki indicates that the original DJ Console is natively supported by VDJ 8:

For me, it seems to be the case for the PC version, but on MAC, although the controller is enumerated correctly by OS X, VDJ does not automatically configure the audio interface, and no MIDI mapping is loaded.

I would confirm this with support before buying the Controller version.

Simply plug your controller and test with VirtualDJ8. It should work fine for 10 minutes. To unlock your controller (and work with it more than 1o minutes at a time), you will need to purchase a PLUS or Pro Infinity license.
If for any reason, your controller doesnt work for 10 minutes with a Home Free license, please contact support.
