switching from pc to macbook pro 2008- won't work, can't access configuration tab, software didn't load per instructions! it asks if i want to upgrade, which I did, downloaded software, still won't work! a firmware download came with software, but when i access it, it leads to nothin! also, all the Vdj files appear to be empty.

You'll have to provide a lot more detail.
Just saying it "won't work" does not tell us which version of VDJ you're trying to use, which controller you have, or any of the other information which may be relevant.
