Topic: Bad audio quality when Match BPM is turned on in Automix

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I'm using Virtual DJ 8 Pro with the Fade (remove intro/outro) Automix type.

When I turn Match BPM on in the Automix Editor the song that is fading in sounds bad. It's distorted or something. I'm not sure what the exact terminology is, but it sounds shaky. Like it's been hit with some bad autotune or something. It's not blaringly obvious, but it's still very irritating. Before today it wasn't doing this. I don't know what happened. I was asked if I wanted to upgrade to a new VDJ today so I did but it didn't fix the issue. Restarted my computer. Still nothing.

I have a gig tomorrow and would really like this fixed asap. Can anyone help?

Try setting this option to 2

pitchQuality

It's under the Performances menu from Options

How far apart are the tracks BPM?
To far apart would also cause noise or artifacts.

It was already on 2.

Usually never more than 5 or 6.

It was never doing this before. Not like this. I don't know what happened.

I have another gig tomorrow night. I'll be using my NS6 but I'm currently living in a hotel and can't test on that until I get there. If I can get this fixed before then I'll just have to cross my fingers that this isn't an issue going through the USB. I'm fairly new to DJing...might be a stupid thing to hope for.
