Topic: Atomix VAT reg or company number

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I was looking into investing into the full paid version and I notice that VAT is added to the already inflated price to the £. I have done a companies house check and VAT check and don't appear to be able to find a VAT registration or UK Ltd company associated with VirtualDJ.

any help on this.

Thanks

Atomix are a USA company, however VAT is still payable in the purchase country and processed through their payment merchant.

Thanks, I still need a VAT number to claim it back. To charge VAT you have to have a VAT number as in the HMRC gets the VAT paid, then the company claims the VAT back at the end of the year.

I am not bothering anyway, the price for UK buyers is way more than US. Not even going with the exchange rate, then VAT on top. I could buy a could buy a controller and traktor for that price. It's a shame as I actually like Virtual DJ after playing around with it.

thanks for your help.

No problem, thanks for trying the software anyway!

Remember there is a monthly subscription option too.

VAT on imports of goods and services that you buy from non-EU countries is normally charged at the same rate as if the goods or services had been supplied in the UK.

You can reclaim the VAT paid on the goods or services you have imported as input tax. You will need the import VAT certificate, form C79, to show that you have paid the import VAT.
