Topic: Audio settings: mixtrack pro + creative SB USB soundcard + external mixer

I have Numark Mixtrack Pro 1 as a MIDI controller but since it's main output audio quality isn't good enough I rather use Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro for that matter and Creative Sound Blaster Play for headphones.

Here are my current settings:
Output: speaker+headphone
Card: two soundcards
master source: SB X-Fi (Chan 1&2)
headphones: SB Play (Chan 1&2)

But I've also seen that ASIO4ALL is also an option and that there's an official support for ASIO for SB X-Fi. Should that be a preferred option? Would it make any difference if I don't scratch at all?

I'm also not sure what's the optimal sample rate and bit depth settings for SB X-Fi. I can choose from (Windows playback devices settings):
- 16 bit, 48000 Hz
- 16 bit, 96000 Hz
- 24 bit, 48000 Hz
- 24 bit, 96000 Hz

And the last question is about external mixer. Let's suppose that I'm going to connect two RCA chinch cables from my SB X-Fi to external 12 channel mixer. Should I choose "External mixer" in VDJ output settings? What difference would that make anyway?

Thank you for help in advance.

Asio4all is not really a Asio Driver. It is more a kind of emulation who pretends to be Asio using your current windows drivers.
I would recommend a soundcard which is desinged for dj use with low latency like a Hercules Trim, Reloop Play or NI Audio.
