Topic: When and how to use the RANGE operator in Filter Folders?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Could somebody please elaborate on this? I can't find any references about it.

Thanks.

You could use it for filter folders like:
Showing all tracks between 110 and 130 BPM or all tracks between 2000 and 2010.

I don't understand how it works though, because putting "range" after BPM in a filter list gives "Syntax error at range 120"

Just type something like:

bpm >= 110 and bpm <= 130

Which should give you all tracks with a range of 110 to 130 bpm.

Range works together with 'group by'

Use 'group by bpm range 5' for example. The filter folder will then have subfolders for 90-95 bpm, 95-100 etc...
(Can also be used with year like 'group by year range 10' to group by decade)
