Topic: Can't seem to get Automix to work

Hi:
Newbie here. This may sound naive, but I can't figure out how to use the Automix feature . When I use AutomixMP3, it automatically picks up the next song in my list and does a continuous play, with crossfade. When I hit the Automix button on VirtualDJ, nothing happens. The firs song is played and then, when it's over, it's over. Nothing else. I have clicked on the Playlist Management button, and clicked "Start Automix", but got the same results. The manual doesn't really specify much more than to click the Automix button. What am I doing wrong?

My usual procedure for a dinner automix is to add a bunch of songs to the automix list, drag the top song to the deck I want as automix, press play on that deck, then press the enable automix. See if these steps work for you. I don't see a restriction on automix for the home free version, so I believe it will.

Hi Ben, need some more info;
1. VDJ 7 or 8?
2. are you putting the songs into the automix sideview, if so how long is the playlist?
3. what are your automix settings?

can you post a screenshot

don't worry, I'm sure it will work for you, I use it all the time.
