You may only "poll" if a mode is actually in use, such as :
setting 'automixMode' 'smart' ? blink
Or you may directly set a value :
setting 'automixMode' 'smart'
Same applies to fadeLength.

oh year----thanks for the "settings" tip.
its very easy.....you can ask in a textzone as in a button via
action="setting 'automixmode'"
action="setting 'fadelength'"
and will get the settings-paramater!
