Topic: Best way to capture video for camera plugin?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

This is on a Win7 machine running v7.4.1 I'd like to take video from either:

a: GoPro Hero3 wirelessly through GoPro's wifi - Trying to view live streaming video from my GoPro's wifi network is going nowhere. Have the GP wifi set to GoProAp and connected wirelessly to my PC, but can't see the GoPro in VDJ. Just the built in cam.

b: Micro HDMI into PC so VDJ can use live video stream.

What is the best way to do this?

I want to do the same with GoPro. This would be an awesome improvement to VDJ

It would. As you see though, not many talking about it.

Maybe v8.x will do it. Haven't tried it there yet.

I'm sure I read somewhere that the GoPro would not work with VDJ. But that may have changed, with a recent update or a plugin.
You might try the TellyMedia plug in, pretty powerful from what I've read. I haven't played with this plugin yet but I have plans to.
