Hi Folks! I've just starting having a play about with custom buttons on VDJ8 and i'm looking for some inspiration so i thought it would be a good idea to start a thread where people can share what they have set up their custom buttons for and how you did it!

I have adapted my skin to show 16 additional custom buttons, I use them for loads of different things like stopping decks, playing effects, volume adjustments ect etc I think what you can do with them is pretty much endless if you know how to write the 'script'

A lot of skins (including the default) don't have an unload button, so I mapped one on each deck ; which is useful for a number of things, including freeing up memory after a song ends but you don't want to load another song yet.

You can easily add a right click action to the decks stop button to unload the track, as in my Old'skool skin. Other skins are available which do this too, and it is a better option to incorporate it logically into an existing element rather than add clutter..
The possibilities are vast with custom buttons, if you are not comfortable with editing the xml skin file, although its just as easy once you take the lid off :D
