If your considering uploading Video/Audio Samples for the first time you'll need to follow these instructions or your upload will be rejected! Although your sampler will play different formats and you may have a preferred choice that you like to use when uploading there is only one that the reviewers will accept, there is no warning or stipulation on the upload page of the format that must be used, if you don't use the correct format it will be rejected, even though there is nothing on the page telling you otherwise.

Uploading.

1 - As your uploading a sample as the name suggests, try not to make your uploads into feature length epics no more than 20 - 30 seconds will give you more than enough time in most cases, where as a lot will be based around the 3 - 5 second duration for the quick drops.

2- Make a folder and give it a name you want to associate your sample with.

3 - If a video sample take a snap shot of your video and place in your folder, I would say a size of no more than 640x360 is big enough.

4 - Now run your video in the video/audio sampler, give it a name and save it.

5 - Go to Documents > VDJ Folder > Sampler > in there you will see the file you have just saved and it will be shown as a VDJSample File make a copy of this and put it in the folder you made alongside the snapshot that you placed there earlier.

6 - All you need to do now is make a zip file of the folder and then follow the instructions on the upload page to get it reviewed and passed.

Even though your not told on the upload page of the format to use if you don't use the above format your file will be rejected and more delays can be expected, it took ten days in total for my first upload to be finally passed, so hopefully this will reduce the time for most of you.

Downloading.

The easy bit... Select the file you want and format if applicable and hit download, this is not an exec file, so you must select where you want to save it.

Run in your sample editor and save, your all done... enjoy!
