Right... VDJ 7 will not be given any updates anymore.
All developments and updates are focused on V8 only.

Imho, I can't see why V7 should get any updates. You could say "VDJ 7.4.1" is a synonym for stability.

I still see in the website the following: "...If you have an important event, you might want to consider using version 7..."

then ? what are the reasons of no updates ?

Downloaded on May 30 the VDJ 7 file: install_virtualdj_home_v7.4.1b

Tonight I downloaded it and the file is named: install_virtualdj_home_v7.4.1-clean

Is there a difference between these two?

VirtualDJ v8 has been released and is now the current product. All development is focused on this new version of the software.

As already stated above, VirtualDJ v7 is no-longer being actively developed and will not receive any further updates. However, it is a very stable product with many years of development behind it, so it might be a better choice for some users with important events, especially those who have not tested v8 sufficiently yet to be confident that they won't encounter any problems. However, VirtualDJ v8 is already very stable for most users and is improving with every update, so soon, using VirtualDJ v7 will not be necessary.
