I have an issue with Virtual DJ 8, works fine with VDJ 7.
With or without a controller, whenever i increase the gain, the sound starts crackling.
I've tried different settings and i can't solve the problem :
- VDJ 7 Home OK
- Traktor OK
- CPU OK
- Mac OS X 10.9.3 8Gb RAM
- Latest update of VDJ 8
- with or without a controller : KO
- With or without sound recording : KO
- Reset factory : KO
- Mac midi/audio setting at 44100Hz / 2ch - 16bit : KO
- VDJ8 : sample Rate automatic (44100) instead of the default 48000 : KO
- Sometimes the sound crackles even without setting GAIN, but it always crackles when i set the gain up
- Issue with all audio formats WAV/MP3/AIFF : KO
I'm desperate i can't figure out what's not working and i can't work on my mixes anymore :(

Crackling is most the time related with your used soundard or the computer itself.
Guess you use the Mac buildin soundcard?
The audio engine on V8 has been changed and maybe that's why such soundcards fall into trouble.
Could you test a different card or better a soundcard like the DJIO?

My English is bad.
This is done by onboard sound card, without a controller . But it happens the same with Denon Mc3000 and Audio2Dj.
With Windows 7 all is well.
MackBook Pro mid2012

OS X 10.9.3

Suffering from the same issue. Loved VDJ7 and just bought a controller. Apparently I can only buy a licence for VDJ8 so I have been forced to move to a system which gives me crackling baselines and won't use any of my old effects. I want VDJ7.4.2 to work with my new controller!
