Team,
I need help with VDJ 8 on a MBP (OSX 10.9.3). The program is stuck in fullscreen mode and the toggle (green X button) is outside of the window so have no way to get out of fullscreen mode. I have Quit the program and waited hours and open the program and its still in Fullscreen mode with the top menu items out of screen range.

Help Help Help and yes I have been a VDJ pro owner for years...

do you have access to custom buttons?

program one to:
maximize 'windowed'
 
Double clicking the window doesn't work and if you can't see the custom buttons
Close V8 open your settings xml and line 171

<videoWindowPosition>(0x0 1280x770)=585x102 632x511</videoWindowPosition>

reduce the resolution size mine is 1280*770

Have you tried mac's accessibility shortcuts and closing the video screen from outside VDJ

Funny enough, I have this same exact problem on Win 7 64 bit laptop. Problem started when accidentally video screen was extended full on laptop screen and then I closed the program from taskbar. The only way to avoid the problem is to run the vdj8 as administrator then it opens normally.
 
VirtualDJ should always be run with administator rights.
 
Solved issue by deleting settings XML file, uninstalling and reinstalling VDJ 8. Thanks for all your help. (Am never going fullscreen unless an sure this issue is fixed).

I just went into settings then into options then into the video drop down and changed the video size to the one listed above and that worked then I went back in after opening the video screen to a workable size and copied the line and saved it into a file to be able to fix it quick should that eve happen again I did that during a show never had to stop or close vdj ave worked perfectly
 
You don't need to uninstall > re-install. Simply close VDJ, rename settings.xml to settings.xml.old and re-open.
(A fresh settings.xml file will be generated for you.)
 
plsease on my virtual dj 8 record settings which is the correct screen size should i pick ? cause the default is 720 hight /460 wide and its treaming down my video cant seems to get it right
