Can someone please make a simple skin with NO panels that has all the basics so XML challenged people like me can study the XML and figure out how everything works please??
I love Dans and Bobs skins but there are just to many panels for me to figure out what is going on when it comes to making a skin plus the fact that skin creator doesn't work with v8 skins.
I would be greatly appreciated if someone could do this small favor.

I can't help the way you want
since I don't fully understand V8 skins, I have an idea that stuff is actually less work these days (less duplication)
but am waiting for the wiki to take the plunge
I think the graphics of lets say a deck 1 dial are defined (what it looks like fully left/right & centered, what it's click zone is etc)
And then later in the skin it uses this definition and links a command to it, but I maybe wrong I am assuming.
A non panelled example would be the custom dial, or the pitch slider
but to figure out panels look at the mixer/video/scratch/master panels since they are the least complicated
*edit hang about have you tried the 4 deck skin, very little panelling there.
