Topic: The very old pitch reset bug is catched !!!

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Dear developpers,

I'm very happy to tell you that, after hours of fighthing
with my computer, I finally understood the last remaining
bug in the "famous" (since Atomixmp3) "Pitch reset bug" ;-)

Many times I reported this saying "sometimes the pitch
doesn't reset" ... I'm a programmer too and I know this
doesn't help so much .... Some code modifications have been
made in the last versions, modifying the bug, but it was still
there. Now, you will be able to kill it in V1.07 !!

The scenario is :

You play a playlist in automix mode with the options :
* automix = none ou fade
* BPM auto = enable
* Pitch reset = enable

VDJ will try to auto-BPM two following songs if they have
both a star BUT it won't never reset it. The pitch reset
will only work in "automix = mixtempo" (or intelligent in
case of mixtempo).
Note also that, if one of the 2 songs has no star, the
problem doesn't appear (in "none" or "fade") because VDJ
won't try to align the BPM. Why won't it try ? Because the
"mix tempo" flag is off in one song ? The is no relation ...
I think there is a confusion, in this part of the algorithm,
between "Auto-BPM disable" and "mixtempo not possible".

And please .... please ..... remove the "automix markers"
in "none" mode (there are not used in this mode).

And ..... correct the graphical bugs of those markers,
yesterday I had a "end marker" in the crossfader !!!!

If I can help, do not hesitate,

Best regards,

DJ Larios
