Topic: No more pirated copies of VDJ?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Since V8 has a new feature where you have to be logged in with legit info and a license to access full features, do you guys think that has pretty much ended piracy for new versions? Sure, people will be able to pirate the older versions, but I think the VDJ team did a smart thing by implementing the log in feature for V8. I know it could potentially be an issue for some people who do have legit licenses, but they have supplied a way to help you with it if you have no internet connection.

I know nothing about coding, however I would assume the crackers will just alter the code to remove the dial home part and enable all features by default. That's what they did with BPM Studio to override the double protection check.

I'm sure Atomix have implemented something to stop this but the pirates will no doubt try their hardest!
 
it may get cracked but i dont see it happening for a while..
 
i just red on facebook a guy who shows a ckacked version of VDJ 8 full and says who needs a license
 
If it's the same video i saw - have a closer look when he copies the skins - there is a license.dat in his folder and he did not show the license dialogue ;-)

Searched for a while but all i found are the free download setups with trojans on board. One of them came with badly cracked 7.0.5 and says it's 8.0 **lol**
 
theres is a bunch on youtube claiming they have vdj8 cracked!!!!! (my new videos tags bring them up in the related search on the right side of page ..jeeez! ) this has gotta stop! cant we crack the crackers?..complain to youtube?
 
We do but all i have seen in Youtube is just a fake. There is one "crack" atching the login window - wow - you can't login so VDJ is running in Home Free mode....

second one says it is a crack but if you look a bit closer - it's a legit user with a license.dat file (you can see when he moves over the skins). Funny cause he moves them in the wrong folder and they stil work **LOL**

So at the moment i did not see anything out there we have to fear.

I think we all know a cracked copy is coming.. I have yet to see uncrackable software.
 
I'm not losing any sleep thinking about it.
 
Companies actually dont really mind cracked software as it introduces new customers.... and once they realise it doesn't work properly they buy the licenced version if they like it.

Some people will always use cracked versions but others will pay. Its not all bad really!

I saw a Vid that promised 8 but it installed like 7 had a splash screen like 7 with the exception that the splash screen had a big over size, over white. wrong font number 8,

No, I openly admitted to watching a youtube vid, I didn't download, I'll also admit to reporting more than 30 videos that purported to be a V8 crack since January to youtube admin,

Comically bad, but stupid and greedy people will fall for whatever trojan infested nastiness is contained.
