Topic: I'm getting double search results

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I am using Windows 7 and VirtualDJ 8. All of my music that I use to play in VirtualDJ is stored on a networked computer drive, I basically use this computer as a file server. I have never run into a problem with getting double search results, but I am now. When is type in a song say "Dave Matthews Band - The Stone", each version I have of this song with show up twice. It's duplicating all of my search results. I tried removing all songs from the search db, and then re-add that folder again, but it's not fixing the problem. I am also having a problem where search results from my "Karaoke" folder are showing up in search results, even though I removed that folder from the search db. Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to get this working correctly?

I just fixed this problem today - lefthand side towards bottom is a little round button (browser options) click on it, scroll over database, click on remove missing files from search DB
if it doesnt work call tech support on the phone.

Are these files contained in a MU3 files also?
Options search showM3UAsFolders, set this to no.

I had the same problem where some of my playlist files .m3u files where in my music search path. Once I removed those files, all of my duplicates and broken files issues went away.

Setting ShowM3UasFolders set to No could help, instead of moving the Playlists
