Indeed, changes a plenty on the way by the looks of things.

Drip feeding them at the moment - probably for the best!

Broadcaster Edition been discontinued as well.

I think only the full version should be called Pro. Having two versions called Pro is confusing.

The other versions are fine - Home, LE, Broadcaster - but having both Pro Infinity (FKA Pro Full) and Pro Basic (which is a contradiction) means that potential customers can end up buying the wrong version because they're both called Pro. We've actually seen this via the forums a few times.

I hear you Groovin, but as there are only two versions (exlc. free) now it should be easier.

If people don't read what their paying for then surely that is down to them??

So whats the difference between Basic and infinity?

Nevermind i Read it, so video and midi and timecode.

Groovin you make more sense than they will accept, Pro Basic is a Oxymoron.

Software should be 199 and a free version and LE for distribution with controllers

Fits the market shift in prices....

Basic doesn't support timecode or midi controllers, no output to master video and no tool downloads.

At least that's the difference currently with v7.

I hope they at least drop the "pro" from the name...

Virtual Dj Infinity
Virtual Dj Basic

Sounds better , less confusing.

To me,

Virtual Dj Pro
Virtual Dj Basic

Still Sounds the best

With proms and wedding season coming up VERY soon, my hope is that we have this in time to get used to the new features.

I am sure the software will be rock solid, not so sure about the operator... haha

yeah...me too im having a new mixer (VoxoaM7) delivered this week, and anxious to set the 1200s up. Would love that new kit with it...

Whats so special about the "infinity" edition??

The infinity edition is exactly the same as the old Pro version.

No differences as it stands in version 7.

So is getting the infinity version a BIG difference in getting the basic, and what, other then the controller use does the infinity version also have ?

Where was this info published?

Professional is above basic. Professional = Full Capabilities, Basic = Limited capabilities. Ends most inquiries. Just saying...

The owner of the company has decided. Keep up the discussion.

This kind of reminds me of the iPhone 5C. Cheaper and iPhone!

So now you want to tell the owner how much he should charge for his product? As if you have one iota of an idea, of what he has put into HIS company? You have truly gone way over your pay grade with this silliness. Do you allow your clients to set their prices for your services, based on the other DJs in the area? The market shift? Our two main competitors, have always cost more, and offered less. And they are still charging you. I have got to stop smoking crack and meth at the same time, because this is the most presumptuous statement I have read, in a long time.

From the top of the page..... "This a general discussion forum, please be polite and speak with respect. Before posting, please read the forum rules and FAQ. If you are "

I get sometimes it is frustrating on these forums..... I am amazed though sometimes at how rude and disrespectful the moderators are to the people who post here sometimes. Honestly the product is the best there is and I commend you guys for the work you have done in that area and how passionate you are in that... How you relate to your customers sometimes... not so much...
