I bought the Pioneer DDJ-SR controller and want to use Virtual DJ but I don't want to upgrade and pay $300 for the PRO version if there is not a full mapping for the DDJ-SR. I read where the pad plus does not work and I am not sure what other limitations there are. Who can tell me what are the limitations with the mapping of the DDJ-SR for Virtual DJ and is it worth buying the PRO version with these limitations?? I want to broadcast using the DDJ-SR and sounds like Virtual DJ is the easiest way to go but I want a good solution.
Thanks

the team doesn't really do crazy mappings so it will probably just be cues, loops, basic effects and samples on the pads. But you could replicate anything from Serato and more "accept for the slicer" with VDJScript and the right effects, but as you know you need VDJ Pro for that.
I couldn't see VDJ being mentioned anywhere on the Pioneer website so you won't get a discount unless you have another VDJ LE serial, although I believe you can get it reduced by the purchase price of broadcastor as you already have that.

The only limitation is indeed the PAD PLUS mode. It is functional, however you wont get the expected results, as its not possible (due to firmware limitation) to pass the software BPM value of the loaded song to the unit , in order to do whatever you see in the Pioneer's demo videos.
