I have a benefactor who will provide equipment for me and let me use it for paid gigs if I perform at least one charity karaoke gig per month at a retirement center. What a deal, eh? I've already got a 2012 Macbook Air running VDJ Pro in conjunction with a Numark Mixtrack Pro, and a Bose L1 Model 1 tower with two bass modules. Basically I figure I need a reliable affordable LCD monitor and stand, and a wireless mike setup. I also need to acquire an awesome collection of MP3+G karaoke music files. Then I need to figure out how to use VDJ with these files, and output the audio to my Bose and the video to the external monitor.
Any tips for this noob? Good tutorials on how to use MP3+G files with VDJ?
