Topic: Problem getting my VDJ to record AGAIN!

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

The codecs that come with this don't work, I've tried putting others on and did have it working once before. I know this is a google thing and I've searched and searched. I've tried youtube and I've even posted a video on there so it doesn't get misunderstood.

I'm a bit of a nerd but this is stumping me.

Could someone post here what it is that I should be doing and I'll make a video tutorial as to never have this happen again.

I know they say this comes with codecs but they aren't working for me and I know this is 100% my fault.

Please help and tell me what I need to do to make this work? Is it just a setting?

I just Googled and found a solution in a few seconds.

Apparently it's nothing to do with the codecs at all. It's the file path. Try recording to a different directory.

Thanks man! works great. I just made the desktop the file destination and its perfect.
