Topic: unknown video codec for m4v video file purchased from iTunes

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Help!

I bought a video file from iTunes that I have to play at a corporate event in a few hours. I can play it off my iphone5 with sound out to my MC6000 and video out to the monitor.

However, I should be able to play this off VDJ 7.4 on a Win 7 64bit Alienware with a 2 TB video card.

Where can I find and download the codec?

Thanks in advance!

Just google m4v codec, there are loads of sites to choose from.

The obvious would seem obvious... I should have included, I have downloaded more than one codec pac and still can't play video file. ...

You need to find out what codec has been used...

Software such as gspot will help.

at the gig, I ended up using my iphone5 with lightning to HDMI cable.

However, it would have been nice to have had anyone who knows anything about codecs post a link.

I really would like to resolve this, and already downloaded a couple codec packs

I installed the Windows 7 codec pack v.4.0.8 with no success in playing the m4v file.

The actual m4v file was the "2000 One Shining Moment" originally written by Dave Barrett and became CBS Sports Championship Game Theme Song. Dave Barrett brought his Keyboards and tapped in to my soundsystem, with Mateen Cleeves, MSU Basketball Champion and Professional Basketball Champion present, complete with live television coverage.

Bump...

Any moderator care to read and respond to this?

The issue is still not resolved...

Did you use gspot (etc) to determine which codec had been used?
