Topic: Virtual DJ not alerting me when a track is loaded onto the same deck which is playing

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi all

I've seen on some tutorial videos that you can't load a song onto a deck which is already playing. You should get a warning message, but I don't.

I'm currently using the free Pro trial but before that it was the LE version. I'm also using the Pioneer DDJ Ergo controller incase that has anything to do with it?

Enter Config/Options/ .......and set Security = Always

After setting to Always, trying to load a song onto a playing deck will have the effect of loading the song into the playlist instead.

PS - This is how it works in the Pro version, dunno about the others, I assume its the same.

It doesn't display and error message like I've seen on someone else's YouTube tutorial but I can live with that

I think you would have to set it to Ask to get a message. Not needed if it's set to Always
