One more thing. If your video files are say MPeg4 at 480p match your secondary output screen resolution to the average resolution your content displays at in in this example 480p.

Remember the video is an accessory to the music. It doesn't make sense wasting CPU performance on a high screen resolution of 1080p to play content that is 480p. Scaling up the 480p content to 1080p for an effect that most people aren't close enough to appreciate the resolution quality is a waste. The television will do the work of up-scaling the content to full screen for you.

Your PC specs are fine but you may want to think about Apple for your future purchase. I find that the MAcPro especially with the SSD is very stable, responsive and low latency.

Its an onboard card. Is hdmi better than vga?

While an onboard card will work I wouldn't recommend using it. If your serious about video you'll need a laptop that has a dedicated graphics card. As far as HDMI or VGA again it's gonna be whatever your graphics card can handle.

This my 50" screen from Walmart mounted on a regular speaker stand with a T bar. I pick my road case that houses two of them on Monday then I need to save I but to pick up the second 50" led screen.

Another feature you can charge for is karaoke with the new Vdj karaoke service no that you have the screen to display the lyrics.

That is either a light screen or a heavy duty tripod lol. My big screen in my living room is a samsung 50" also but it is really heavy. I guess it brings a new question I had not thought about yet. I know there's more money to be made but it's also more setup equipment, so do you have an assistant or are you a solo DJ?

You have tiers from basic DJ package right up to Video DJ package. I usually DJ alone but when the customer pays for the upgrade the cost of the assistant is built in.

Actually you could do it with out the assistant. The screen usually goes up first.

Steps:
1) extend legs tripod speaker stand
2) latch clamps onto T bar
3) lift screen and T bar onto Stand ( This display is not heavy it LED not plasma)
4) Raise hight of tripod

It takes longer to get it out of the box than set it up. That why my latest purchase is a road case.

Ok, makes sense having different DJ packages. Up to the customer to pay for what they want at their event..

Displays in action.
