With that out of the way, I'd like to get some input on what you guys would consider ideal starter gear for an up and coming enthusiast to Dj'ing, like myself. I've scouted all three controllers through teh intawebz, but I really can't make a bold decision as to what I should go for. I like the DJ2Go's simplicity and its compact design, but I really don't want to spend my first sessions with something that seems like a toy, kinda kills my motivation, plus only one hot cue? I currently am a minute away from purchasing a Mixtrack 1, but I wishlisted a Mixtrack 2 and its beaming at my soul!!! Talk about conflicted! Will there be a discount for the Full version if I purchase the Mixtrack 1 with LE? Also, with my setup, what would be an affordable set of speakers I can purchase and soundcard options. If I'm going to get serious, I want to get it (mostly) right the first time.

Hope you are willing to spend more than $1.15. What is your budget?

looking for an All-In-One since space and funds are limited. I'd say no more than $300. $400's hitting it close, but tops.

Is that for a controller, and speakers?

Just for controller, I assuming nobody would think building PA's into controller hardware would be very useful when you're in a packed club..

The speakers are separate from the budget, won't be in need of them for a good while, but always help to get a figure.

Mixtrack Pro 11, has a sound card in it.

Yes, just conflicted to whether or not I should spend the $80 for the Mixtrack 1 or save a bit more for 2..

Will you use the new features found on the MixTrack Pro 2 or can you "do the damn thang" with the original Mixtrack Pro?
Will you be better served with the new features or by saving the money and putting it towards another piece of gear?

You can't go wrong with either of the Mixtrack controllers, I have never used the DJ2GO so I have nothing to add there.
Good luck and have fun,
Tim

What is there to be conflicted about, make a decision. You will have to buy a sound card for the 1, and will out grow it as soon as your skill level improves a little bit. The 2 will allow you to grow, and it will be a great back up, or home console, when you upgrade,

Bam take your pick pay while you play. Do research on what you like. Then practice and rock the party!

Wow, +1 Djrated. This will definitely come in handy. I think I may wait for that mix pro 2, thanks again guys!

i had the mixtrack and DJIO, but returned them and bought the Stanton DJC.4. very satistfied with this controller. look it up,check it out! some have had a few problems, but I havent and Stanton is working on some kind of upgrade (firmware?)according to latest post on their forums.

I'm still more or less a noob but I bought a Numark Mixdeck. It was $600 but I see them on Kijiji for around $3-400. You don't need a sound card on the side, and it does CD's, MP3's Via USB and Computer (VDJ of course) The Mixtrack 2 is really solid from what I see on Youtube so if your not looking to have the option of CD's then I would go with that. The DJ2GO looked cool for $50 but if you want to be serious about it then don't bother with the DJ2GO. I also have Numark Booth speakers that ran me $100 but if your looking for a real PA system then I have no idea.

I have everything in my basment and even bought a Ego 2 light to give the room a nice touch for when I'm down there mixing. Just a thought.
