Hi,
I fitted a SSD to my MacBook Pro and a second conventional HDD (my old main drive reformatted) for my data. I moved my user folder to the 2nd data drive, now Virtual DJ Pro won't start up. It asks for my serial number again, but when I enter it there is a very quick message flashed on the screen saying it cannot load the skins or something (too quick to read properly). It then closes the app.
I have uninstalled the program completely using AppZapper and reinstalled a freshly downloaded pkg, but still the same problem.
Can anyone help?
Many thanks

Hi,
you have to install VDJ again.
It will not work when you just move the content :-)
Please have a look here.

Hi Haui70,
thanks for your reply and the FAQ link. However, I have already tried reinstalling the program and it still won't work. Here's what I did...
1. My old hard drive (750GB) called 'Macintosh HD' was cloned to my new 240GB SSD which I named 'Mac SSD' with the exception of my user folder (/users/Dave/) using Carbon Copy Cloner.
2. I then deleted all folders on 'Macintosh HD' except my user folder
3. Then installed the SSD in place of the old HD and fitted the old HD in place of the DVD Super Drive using a Data Doubler.
4. Restarted the Mac which booted off the SSD
5. Changed the name of 'Macintosh HD' to 'Data HDD'
6. Pointed the system to my new home directory location in system preferences/users and groups/ advanced options, to /Volumes/Data HDD/Users/dave
This has worked with all software except Virtual DJ. It's the only program that won't start since the upgrade. I have tried uninstalling VDJ and installing a fresh copy, but no joy.
Is there a preferences file stored somewhere that is still telling the new install of VDJ to look for the database, content etc. on Macintosh HD/users/dave?
Many thanks for your help.
