This thread is about VirtualDJ winning an award for best software. You don't have to like the results, but everyone had an opportunity to vote their preference. There have been several attempts to hijack this thread for personal and selfish agendas. There is plenty of space on these forums to post your wants. This company wants to celebrate an award that recognizes their hard work, and an award they deserve. Why is it necessary to piss on their accomplishments? Let's try to stay on topic, and post your concerns elsewhere.

I'm am very pleased that I decided to buy Virtual DJ - one of the best decisions I've made recently :)

Hi peeps, just bought VDJ 7.4 Pro to complement my new XDJ R1... loving' it already :-D I hope this is the right place to post; I have a couple of newbie questions:

1. Is there a newbie section on the forum!
2. How do I get the equipment icons next to my name?
3. Is it possible to re-map some of the midi functions on my XDJ using VDJ 7.4 Pro?

Icon for your controller will come ;)
But make sure you have registered the VirtualDJ LE version that came with the controller here :
http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html

And totally possible to remap the controller, even kinda easy
Just open VDJ config, and then the mapper tab..
And you'll see a list of all the mapper entries for your controller..
You can change any entry by using a different word/value at the Action box.

And feel free to ask in the hardware forum for more help on re-mapping ;)
