Hey guys I know it might be a dumb question or something...but I'm just curious.

If you convert a 320kbps track recorded from virtualdj to 192kbps in itunes is there a very significant downfall in the quality of the track? Because I don't want to rerecord the track in 192kbps.

Thanks guys.

There will of course be a reduction in quality converting from 320Kbps down to 192Kbps, but unless you have very good hearing and a good sound system then it's unlikely that you will be able to tell the difference. Most average users listening would not be able to tell the difference.

It also depends on the quality of the source material (The songs that you were playing when you made the recording.) If these were mostly lower rates than 320Kbps (E.g: 192Kbps, 160Kbps, etc.), then recording at 320Kbps is a waste of disk space.
