HI guys,
I'm going to buy the Hercules DJ 4 set with a delivered CD of virtual DJ but i have the home free version and some cracked but very nice effects but how does it work does i lose all my effects?

VirtualDJ LE that comes with the Hercules DJ4Set is free limited software and does not support using custom effects but it can be upgraded to the full VirtualDJ Professional at a discount: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
Please support the software and its future development by purchasing it rather than illegally obtaining add-ons to which you are not currently entitled.
NOTE: Once registered, VirtualDJ LE allows legal download of skins and audio effects from our official plugins download section, but these can only be used during the 20 day trial of the full VirtualDJ Pro. The full Pro allows download and use of all available add-ons including video effects/transitions and custom mappers. VirtualDJ Home FREE is for mouse/keyboard only and does not support using MIDI controllers.

Is the software that comes with the Hercules DJ 4Set a trial version (limited to 20 or 30 days) or is it a full version that can be used Indefinitely ?

thanks for that info ...I bought a used one from someone on ebay but the disc was cracked & they are going to send another one that they had , I downloaded a trial version online for now but I was also wondering if there is a way to get a replacement disc for it or is there a way to download it online somehow in case I don't receive a good one?I don't want to get the pro version for $99 .00 right now I already have Home & Broadcast versions of virtual DJ that don't work with my Hercules controller, I just need one to work my controller with no time limits

$99 is not pro that is a plus licence (home use for controller), anyway that isn't the issue.
If the previous owner registered the LE software then you are out of luck, if they didn't (and this may work anyway)
Contact the controller manufacturer give them the controller serial number and request a software serial.
