Topic: Using Bluetooth wireless speakers?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello, all.

Can someone tell me the steps to allow me to use VDJ and the Bose SoundLink Bluetooth speaker?

I would like to run sound out via Lines 1 & 2, but also stream it wirelessly to my Bose SoundLink Bluetooth speaker.

I recently purchased a Bluetooth adapter, and I can play music from my laptop to the Bose, but once I hook up the Hercules RMX, I cannot get sound from the Bose.

Help!

Thanx in advance...

thats wierd

have you gone into config?

Yes, I've tried various settings and I can only get one set of speakers working at a time. Either the wireless Bluetooth speakers, but not the mains. Or I get the mains working, but no sound from the Bluetooth speakers. I'm wondering if I need to install a second soundcard...

Can you post a screen shot of your sound settings? I'm thinking you need to map it in advanced config to run them both.

Try it in Config.....Sound setup....Outputs... then set Advanced config.......and set master to both of spekers( You need add one)

Thanx, everyone. I will post a screen shot of my settings asap.

Here's a screen shot of my setup.

How do I map the drives?

Thanx.

Your going to need to use the advanced sound config if you want the master to come out of both devices.

Add a device with the plus in the advanced config tab.

Not aware of how many outputs have your Bluetooth speakers and what exactly you need to do, but certainly you need to create an Advanced Sound setup if u need to have your headphones connected to Hercules.
Note also that VirtualDJ can output to only a stereo output, so if your speakers are some 5.1 or 7.1 only the "front" speakers will operate.
Alternatively you may set another pair of outputs (e.g. rear speakers) to be the booth output of the software.
Example
Master ....Sound card (bleutooth) ...outputs 1,2
Booth... Sound card (bluetooth) ...outputs 3.4
Headphones ....Hercules .... outputs 3,4
