so im trying to configure a single usb twin gamepad and since i have windows 64x ppjoy wont install properly even in test mode with uac down. I go to the parallel ports section when adding a controller and cant access it i can only add a controller. Is there an easier way maybe? like making the buttons hotkeys for my laptops keyboard? only problem is then i wouldnt be able to use my pots unless routing them through a program. Is there any users on here who have experience with this? I've been trying to do research for it but my research takes hours upon hours and usually don't reach any proper conclusions. I asked about using a rock band drum as a sampler just for fooling around at home if i wanna jam. I was sent an email to message i will do so as well but was told a reply might be unlikely. please help any info will do I've been looking at glovepie but ppjoy won't open through it for some reason Ive deleted ppjoy many times but im thinking maybe there's a driver deep down in my computer that doesn't uninstall when it does so I cant get the full install going properly but not sure though...

have you tried this as a starting point for a native HID mapper

Joystick/Gamepad to VDJ MIDI Mapper
I have no idea if or how it works...
Good luck

well ive been all over the place with this stuff at the moment im talking to zestoi the guru on djtechtools and have downloaded his midimasher im definetly going to look into this as well. Man where do you guys even find this stuff? I'd love to know. I've heard that theres a bunch of things you can change in the registry for vdj but I'm stay away from messing with that. thanks for the program im going to check it out i hope its not friggin 32 bit only.

Pete is awesome, very helpful... That was just in the controller download area, you just have to choose "all" instead of "best" in the dropdown.

so it doesnt seem to be picking up my joysticks do i have to create a port for it to connect to? I think its not working because of my 64 it system. I really want to get past this mapping stuff so I can start building my midi mixer.

Have you tried a good old fashioned HID mapper, see if you get any response from HID Trace, If you do your in business without all the middleware.

ya its showing 4 twin usb joysticks two are running script the other two are standing still with information on the controller it is a two in one joystick. What do i do now though? It seemed the mapper you sent me was specifically for 32 bit. Theres a way to do it without middleware?
