I'm switching from CDJ's and a Pioneer DJM mixer to the DDJ Ergo and Virtual DJ. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Virtual DJ shows me my master output volume. I can definitely watch my levels on the individual tracks using the volume meters Virtual DJ, but how do I see if I'm in the "red" when crossing over the two tracks, or does Virtual DJ automatically prevent this from happening?
I know right, what a shock, a DJ who doesn't want to run his mixer in the red. :)

No response from support? Does your software not have a skin that shows the master out put volume, or a way to turn that on? Traktor has it at the top of the screen, but I prefer the interface of Virtual DJ over Traktor, this is a basic feature that DJ's need and you should definitely have this in your program.

In the default VDJ 7.xx skins you can see the master volume pointed out with the red arrow here located at the right top corner of your screen.
There are a lot of skins that you can choose that shows the master volume in different ways. Some of them shows with metering on the main master and some of them looks like your controller, you can only have these in VDJ. See and try to download in the VDJ download links below.

VirtualDJ LE is free limited software and doesn't support custom skins, mappings, etc. except during the time limited Pro trial. Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/How%20do%20I%20change%20the%20skin%20or%20use%20plugins%20in%20VirtualDJ%20LE%20or%20Console%20Edition.html
By default the level of each deck is shown. Providing you keep your master volume to a reasonable level, you should not go into the red. VirtualDJ analyses each track you load and sets the gain to the optimal level (When loading a song for the first time, make sure that you don't start it playing before it has finished loading in full.)
If you are plugging into the input of an external DJ mixer (At a club, bar, etc.) then you should be able to see your actual overall level on the external mixer. Some amps also have built-in level meters.
