Hi all,
My cheap wireless mic has hit the dust so I'm in the market for a new one...
I do tend to like sennheiser mics but I'm open to other suggestions...
For me the key things are a clear sound (not too bassey because the vci 400 I have has no mic EQ) and decent battery life- standard DJ gig is 5 hours so a mic with a 5 hour battery life isn't really going to cut it!
Not too sure about the Sennheiser FreePort because apparently it goes through lots of batteries, and not the Shur PG58 wireless because according to the shure website the pg58 has a more bassey response compared to the higher up the range models.
It's gonna be used mainly for shout-outs over the mic in the bar/club, but sometimes for speeches at wedding receptions.
I think I'd go for the xsw65 because that's a condenser mic so you get a more detailed sound compared to the 35 hopefully but obviously how it works in practice might be different! It's £320 to give you an idea of price.
Any thoughts welcome!
Thanks.
Andy.
