For Mac OSX - check the device name of the unit in the Audio/MIDI Setup utility.
You will most likely need to rename the MIDI name of the device to 'DDJ-S1 MIDI'
First, make sure that you are viewing MIDI devices, not audio. Click on the Window menu and choose Show MIDI Window.
Click on the appropriate MIDI device in the list. Then click on Show Info.
Click on the Device Name: box and type in the correct name: DDJ-S1 MIDI
Click APPLY.
Never tried it, but the VDJ setting should be.
Input - none
Output - Headphone
Soundcard - 4Out --> beside select the S1 soundcard.
