I wish you can create a box where you can type a message and when a song finish you can click a icon saying talk and the program says the message for you. Eg I'm DJ Lachy K next I'm playing We'll Rock You by Queen like this video from ultramixer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuPTXmtu6_k

Please because I have poor speech because I have cerebral palsy & I want to make some comments to my crowd.

I'm pretty sure you could do that with the dictation software built into macOSX and windows!

personally I don't speak at all during a set purely because i don't think a DJ should!

Fine if you're a club DJ but remember many DJ's do need to speak for example in bars, karaoke gigs etc.

I would like to be able to switch off the beat matching feature for samples in a loop.

I would also like to be able to adjust the volume of a sample without it playing. I have a great sample that loops and I fade it out using the volume control and then stop it. When I turn the volume back up to use it again, the sample starts playing.

Turn off AutoPlay.

Yes - I want to start playing around with the new features. Especially the timeline.
 
I understand that an elastic beat grid would be almost impossible, but what about a tempo change within a song, like the song "Will.i.am - T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)" that has a tempo change from 106 BPM to 125 BPM near the end, or the song "Fun. - We Are Young" that has a tempo change from 116 BPM to 92 BPM after about one minute. Wouldn't that be possible?
 
An elastic grid isn't impossible. I understand Denon have done something along those lines in their new Engine database software.

When it analyses a track, it has two beatgrid modes - raw or BPM linked.

BPM linked is the same as the method used by VDJ and most other DJ software, the grid markers are spaced at regular intervals.

In raw mode, the grid markers follow the actual peaks in the music - even if the tempo fluctuates.

What this means is that if you create a loop, it won't glitch due to one marker being slightly before or after the actual drum hit.

If we can't have Ableton Live style warping, I think this is a good alternative.

Warping is the Mother of all possibilities that will bring VDJ to the Top of the Food Chain for sure.....
 
I keep hearing "impossible to do" but I doubt that. Traktor can stretch a new beat grid at any point in a song and has been able to for years. It is a manual operation where you find the down beat in the song where you want to stretch a new grid, mark it, play the song from that point, tap the new grid, and fine adjust as needed.
 
Improve the on-board Sound Filter, i tried it but really don't like the Sound. The resonance is to high and the cut-off to low. It would be really nice to have a good Sound Filter shipped with VDJ8 maybe with a separated Reso Knob an different Modes like High-Pass, Low-Pass and By-Pass.

You don't have to rely on the effects provided with VDJ - you can use VST effects, and there are thousands.
 
 
I would just like to be able to adjust the fonts, so I can see them. I would like to see more browser, and less controls are at lest smaller controls.

Why can't the playlist window open to a separate screen via a button, instead of a side bar type.

I would rather have the autoplay mode use both decks, so you can see whats coming up next a lot easier.

Hey just wishing, I came from PCDJ and I guess I am just used to those features, old habits are hard to break.

I just need to find a clean bright skin and I guess I will be happy
