Topic: Issue with one Turntable sound

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi all,

I am using Virtual DJ Pro with my laptop and Hercules RMX. Have configured to the Line In setting (in Input) in order to use Turntables (not virtual ones). Everything is hooked up but my problem is as follows:

The volume on Deck A is extremely low (almost can't be heard) while the volume on Deck B is 'normal' (when the volume on the RMX DJ Console is set to its minimal setting). At this point when I toggle the Source 1 and 2 buttons to play tracks on my hard drive - both the A and B tracks are playing at a 'normal' volume.

When I set the volume to anywhere between 1 and max on the RMX DJ Console (under Turntable Source 1 on) - then Deck A plays fine but Deck B plays at an incredibly high level - too high for comfort (and is in danger of blowing the speakers - it is so high). And its the same when i toggle back to hard drive tunes - Deck A terrible and Deck B terrible.

I've no idea why!

Is there an optimal setting for the Virtual DJ Pro and the RMX DJ Console that will allow me to play turntable and then toggle to tunes on my hard drive comfortably.

Thanks for your help.

Rob
