I'm total dj newb. I've been playing in a band since I was 13. I'm 21 now. Apart from that I recently dl'd vdj
To play around with. The app is there it's continuously saying trying to locate vdj. I go to the site to download vdj software even though I already paid for it as instructed on the app info. The site directs me to the app store from the dl link and then It tells me "software cannot be found" or something similar to that.

If you are referring to the iRemote remote control app, please see the following page: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/iRemote.html
Please note that iRemote is a separate purchase to VirtualDJ itself. It will work with the latest VirtualDJ Home FREE installed on either your Mac or PC: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.html
If you intend to DJ paid gigs, then you will need to also purchase either VirtualDJ Broadcaster, Basic or the full Professional depending on your requirements. Please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html
If you have already purchased VirtualDJ, then please register your serial number on the page http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and download the latest version from the Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html

The free version will not download with safari. I was not referring to making live broadcast. Just at home use. The vdj ire mote says its trying to connect. I went to download the free version and the download site will not allow me to download containing "safari cannot download this file".

Are you behind a firewall that may be blocking you from downloading it (E.g: At work in an office)?
Try downloading it from the Apple app store - Click on the app store icon on the page http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.html - I.e:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/virtualdj-home/id417934534

No not I'm aware of. Both links do not work. I'm even attempting to connect to satellite to see if it's the connection itself. No go. Does anyone on your staff utilize vdj through iPad control?

The App Store download of Home FREE comes from Apple's official site, so if you can't download from there, then there's either a problem with your connection/computer or something is blocking you downloading it (This may also be blocking iRemote app from connecting to VirtualDJ.)
Try using a different web browser to download such as Mozilla Firefox.
Try also downloading from another computer and/or connection if you have access to one.
And yes, some VDJ staff do use iRemote along with many of our users.
