Topic: Can't hear audio through Laptop speakers?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

When I plug in my Numark Mixtrack Pro and start up the VDJ LE that came with it, some times no audio will come through my ap top speakers. Even other programs with audio won't work unless I restart. The odd thing is, when I look at the audio bar on my laptop, it shows that audio should be playing... Any help?

No sound is supposed to come out of your laptop speakers, that's why it has rcas on the back. Your supposed to connect them to a set of speakers.

@Jockey I don't have the NMP but run a RMX, if you go into config > sound tab and change the sound card back to your on board card it should get the results you are after, you may get a pop up with a few choices but it's just a case of trial and error.

Doing this works for the RMX on my desk top.
