Hey

I'm new into VDJ but I produce music, and I'm going to buy a midi controller.
My question is - will a Midi Controller like Novation Nocturn work with VDJ?
Has anyone worked with VDJ using a midi controller? :) I'm really new to this stuff so please be kind :D

Thanks

contollers only work in the full version of vdj pro or during the trial. the novation nocturn hasn't yet been mapped to work with vdj so you would need to create a definition file before it can be fully integrated at controlling, however you may be able to map it with simple midi if the leds are controlled by the hardware and not dj software.

Okay, thank you, I'll try to make it work.. however, if it doesn't, is there any other dj software that'd work with Novation Nocturn?

you need to register you pro serial so you can download the mapper and definition for the dicer, or you can create your own, please see the above links for information.

The Novation Dicers are natively supported in the PRO Full version, which you will need.

You can use your LE serial to purchase the PRO Full at a discounted price.

Go to the Buy page - http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html - and use the center section for 'Upgrade'.

The VMS4 is an open source controller that can be used with any Midi audio software titles via it’s built-in USB port. The solid workmanship of the VMS4 makes it durable for the demanding mobile or club professional.

DO NOT post a link to download file sharing software again. This is not permitted on the VirtualDJ forums and is against the rules: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Forum%20Rules.html

If you continue to post this link, your account will be locked.

Please also don't post pointless messages. The above looks like a direct copy and paste from the manufacturer's website.
