Topic: problem with Mac or the downloading??

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I have upgrade my software with virtualdj pro 7. When I want to use it, I has a message that say. You have an external mixer. It will only work for 10 minutes. Then it shot off. I have a macbook pro. And I am using a Numark total control. I just paid 100$ for the upgrade. What do I need to do?

You will need to register your new Pro serial number to your profile http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and then download and install the latest version of Pro from the Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html

If you have any problems, please contact support: http://www.virtualdj.com/contact/index.html

Also, make sure that you are clicking on the right icon and/or you don't have icons pointing to the old version - Please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Mac%20Old%20Shortcuts.html

NOTE: If you purchased Pro Basic rather than the full Pro, then you have made a mistake. VirtualDJ Pro Basic is for mouse/keyboard use only as clearly stated on its purchase page: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/basic.html - You will need to upgrade it to the full Pro.

Please take a look at the comparison page: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html

MIDI/HID Controller/Mixer Support : There's a big red X in the column for VirtualDJ Pro Basic.

Also http://www.virtualdj.com/products/basic.html :

PLEASE NOTE: When using a mixer, only analog mixers can be use with VirtualDJ Pro Basic. If you own a mixer that is MIDI or HID capable, the mixer is considered a 'controller'; you will need VirtualDJ Pro FULL to use the MIDI or HID capablities of the mixer (controller).

You can upgrade to the full Pro less what you have already paid for Basic by going to: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

You should be able to upgrade from Cue LE to the full Pro at a discount by going to: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

Once you have done this, you can contact support to get the incorrect purchase of Basic cancelled and credited back to you.

VirtualDJ Home and Basic do not support using MIDI controllers.
