Senhiser hd-25s. Had them almost 3 years now with no issues. Used to go through about 2 of the pioneer $175 ones a year.

Well I have Technics RP-DH1200 and I love them but I want to know if the Beats Pro headphones are any better???

Can't say if they are the best. I given up my Sony's for a pair of V-Moda. I love them!

I have a 15 years old Sony MDR-V600, no issues. If someday this phones get damage, it will be my first choice to a new one.

Pioneer HDJ2000 Headphones get my vote.

I have the Numark Redwave, a little bulky but well built.

I've had my Sony MDR-V700s for about 11 years and they still sound great, well, at least one side does :-) I had the same problem many people have had with them cracking where they swivel, just above the earpiece. I fixed them time and time again over the years, then about 6 months ago the right side finally broke off so I clipped the wires and have been using them w/ just one side. I'm not kidding, they sound fantastic and are worth the money. I've been looking and listening to replacement headphones for the past month or so but haven't been compelled to purchase anything than another set of V700s...for the price, you can't beat it. Amazon.com has them for under $100.

There are better headphones out there, but the bottom line is it comes down to personal preference. Some DJs swear by the Dr Dre Beats headphones, but I just don't like how much bass they put out. Also seen a bunch of DJs that prefer style over function so more power to them. Basically, you need headphones that can block out exterior noise so that you can monitor the music in your headphones in a loud club setting so make sure they fit snug enough on your head, but not too tight that you'll suffer from headaches 30 minutes into your set. Go to your local music store and just try them out...Sam Ash usually has them out on display and plugged into something.

Good Luck!

Sennheiser HD25-II are robust, loud, great tone and clarity. I have the ones with the curly cable and I doubt I'd ever require anything more than they give. I test drove the Dr Dre Beats ones and they sound ok, but totally impractical design for DJing (i.e. mix of one/two ear listening) IMO.
