I am a Traktor user, but am thinking of getting back into Virtual DJ (i had a dabble with in the past)
Q1 - Do i need a 'map' for the Vestax VCI400 controller to work with it (if so where is the map?
Q2 - Selecting FX fast , Can someone explain how this works on the Vestax vci400
It says in the VCI400 literature that the bottom button select FX "each pad activates a different effect"

Does that mean i press a bottom button (in decks and FX mode) and i will change between FX? (which FX?) How does this feature work?
I wan to be able to activate an effect fast not scroll through a menu and miss the moment?

There is no need to get a mapper for the VCI400 it is plug and play with the latest version of VDJ 7.0.5b.

There are two switches on the front of the VCI-400 which allow you to switch the 6 pads between 3 different modes:
#1: Delete + 3 Hotcues + Tranport (Cue/Play)
#2: Samples 1-6 on left and 7-12 on right
#3: 4 preset effects + Transport (Cue/Play)
When in FX mode, the 4 FX pads directly trigger the assigned effects (Flanger, BeatGrid, Brake and Backspin - These can be optionally changed in the full Pro.)
Effects can also be individually selected and parameters adjusted via the effects section at the top of each deck of the VCI-400.
