I'm wondering, since a lot of us are having issues with the video drivers in VDJ 7, is it possible one of the reasons that VDJ 8 is being rebuilt from the ground up is because of these video issues that a lot of us have been having with our newer systems? Will this issue be addressed in VDJ 8? I'm asking because I would like to know if I should just revert to a different laptop to work from because the issue isn't fixable or should I just be patient and wait for VDJ 8 to make these grey hairs stop growing in.

I wouldnt say its VDJ.........if you hit up the other softwares forums you'll see they have a lot of problems with newer systems also.........

but a lot of people with newer systems are having the same issue I have been with the memory buffer issue and a lot of us still can't find a fix. I never thought using newer hardware would or could ever cause this many issues.

UPDATE!
I just found out why it's VDJ having issues and not the systems/driver issues...check my other post.
Legitimately acquired videos came up with the memory leak issue
videos downloaded from youtube fixed the leak, dropped memory usage and even playing 1080i videos back to back all fit under 1gb memory usage and didn't increase

To address your specific question in this thread - NO the building of VDJ 8 from scratch is not directly related to this issue.
And considering you found the 'fix' already in changing a setting or two with the current version - then you have found the 'fix' already available with the current version.
