Topic: [help] Timecode CD Maya44 USB problems

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello,

i am having an issue with my timecode cds. here is my configuration:

VDJ : Free Home FREE v7.0.4
Decks : 2 x Numark Axis 4 Professional
Soundcard : Maya 44 USB (Maya44 USB 64 bit driver for Windows 7 installed)
OS : Windows 7 64bit
Timecodes : CD timecodes from VDJ website (consumer grade level)

you will notice that there is no mixer listed above and that is because i do not have one. i want to use VDJ's internal mixer for now. please dont laugh at this set up, i know its not ideal but i just want to get this problem fixed before i improve my set up and spend more money on a mixer.

and before anyone comments, yes you can use timecodes on the free home version, but only for 10 minutes.

so...in config, i select 'Laptop with USB Soundcard' and then my config settings are:

Inputs : Timecodes
Outputs : Single Output (not really bothered just want to get this issue fixed)
Sound card : ASIO Driver (and then i select Maya44 USBAudio ASIO from the drop down list)

Then i click Timecode Config. the drop down list for timecode type is 'VirtualDJ CD'.

1) the first problem is that both decks say 'quality:0%' - at all times.

2) the second problem is that when i jog/toggle the cds decks forward or backward a little bit, the signal starts up but doesnt stop - it continues as if its playing - and also the lights on the maya 44 soundcard are lit up permanently as if the deck is playing. to get it to stop, i have to press play on the cd decks and then press pause/stop. at all times quality still says 0%.

please, any help appeciated.
