Topic: Mixer & Maya sound card issues

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hey guys, I'm having a few issues which I've tried to tweak over the past few days, but have not found a solution for them, and I'm hoping y'all could help out.

My setup is as follows:
(1) Behringer DJX 700 mixer
(2) Pioneer CDJ 200's
(1) Maya 44 USB
Virtual DJ Pro V7.4
HP Pavilion DV 6 with Windows 7 (64 bit, 4GB RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.20GHz processor

My first issue has to do with my mixer; After a few runs, I noticed that the audio coming from my master output is slightly delayed (a few milliseconds?) compared to that coming from my PFL (headphones). The audio from the master output is a bit behind the audio coming from the PFL. I've tried different speakers/outputs, and I get the same problem.

As to my other issue, I'm not sure if it may a hardware or software problem. I recently purchased the Maya 44 USB for TCCD. I've downloaded the most recent ASIO drivers, am using the Virtual DJ timecode CD, and get 100% quality and good sound, however, I've noticed that the response from the timecode to the software lags quite a bit. Most notably, when I use the pitch slider or the Cue and Play/Pause buttons (it takes a few seconds to adjust to my changes).

Any suggestions will be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I use a maya 44 for timecode vinyl nd i had the same thing happen, i fixed this by going through the settings of the maya and trying settings until i got it working sweet, play with your latency and other settings till you have it how you want it.

hope this helps, Dj Klepht

How have you set up your sound options in CONFIG -> Sound Setup?

Make sure that you plug the Maya44 into the same USB port of your computer each time. This particular card is USB port specific and will not work if you plug it into a different port (Unless you re-install the drivers again.)

You should be using the proper native Maya44 ASIO driver.

I.e:

Inputs: None
Outputs: External Mixer
Sound card: ASIO -> Maya44 USB

You can download the proper driver from http://download.esi-audio.com
