I successfully got my cdj-1000mk3 s and djm-800 to work with virtual dj.
I have a few problems i could use some help with.
1. When the timecode cd gets to the end (15mins 39secs) it stops playing and also stops the song in virtual dj. The timecode cds seems to have 1 track only and im not sure if there is a way for it to repeat indefinitely.
2. When a song ends in virtual dj the deck is still playing ( spinning) basically because the cdj-1000mk3 is still playing. Is there a way to auto stop the deck and cdj. Also even if the song is paused, stopped or has ended and i drag a new song to the deck it gives me the warning saying 'a song is playing in the deck and would i like to stop it' How can i get it to stop giving me the warning message when i drag a new song to the deck if the song is paused or has ended.
If you would like more information that may help solve my problems please ask and thanks for any help that is provided.

1. Make sure that you are using either smart or relative timecode mode. In these modes, it should continue playing once the song reaches the end. In absolute mode, it will always exactly match the timecode playback from the disk, so you will not be able to play more that 15 minutes, which is the maximum length of the timecode signal.
2. VirtualDJ cannot control a CDJ-1000 MK3 deck in any way. This model is not MIDI or HID capable. You must stop the CDJ yourself manually. You can disable the track already playing warning by setting CONFIG -> Options -> Security to Never. However, you will need to take care not to accidentally load a track on the playing deck.
For greater control and integration, you should consider upgrading to the new MIDI/HID capable CDJ models. These can control and interface with the software directly and do not need timecode.

Thank you so much for your help. I think i found work arounds for my problems.
I think i have another problem though.
Im trying to record video and audio mixes. However the way the system is setup, that virtual dj audio crossfader is always mid way and i use the crossfader on my Pioneer DJM-800 for mixing. The problem this causes is that virtual dj will be recording both audio tracks at the same time because the fader is centered.
I have a MIDI cable attached to the pc to controll virtual dj. So far my only mapping is for video crossfading, reason being because if i use it for audio crossfading as well i cant hear the next track in my headphones(attached to DJM-800 mixer) when i use the CUE toggle on the mixer.
I dont know if im missing something obvious to either have the video recording capture only hear the one track at a time or to have a mapping to get the headphones to listen to my CUE.
Here is a list of the equipment im using.
Windows 7 machine. 4gig ram. 3.2 processor
2 CDJ - 1000MK3s with Timecode cds
1 Pioneer DJM-800 with Midi cable to PC
Rane SL1 (external sound card) I dont see a Headphones output on the SL1. I see 2 sets of INPUTS, 2 sets of OUTPUTS, 1 Mic and 1 Mic Thru.

Thanks alot for your quick reply. Ill give this a shot see if i can get it to work. I think i might have to buy another external sound card though, because i never liked how the Line In recording sounds on a standard pc soundcard, infact im really against having to take a record output and back into line in input because there is great chance for interference and humming. I was sorta hoping for a direct recording and not a loop back.
Ill try it after this busy weekend and let u know how it goes and again thank you for your assistance it is greatly appreciated.
