Topic: Upgrade to a virtual vinyl system?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I currently have a mixtrack pro entry level setup, which is ironically an upgrade from my ION discover DJ set, which I used for a month before purchasing the mixtrack pro.
I'm currently trying to decide whether I should upgrade to a NS7/NS6 or assemble a turntable/mixer and purchase virtual vinyl.
I see that a lot of great artists use virtual vinyl but the reviews are terrible.

Which direction should I go? Stick with the midi controller devices or purchase a set of turntables and get virtual vinyl?
Any advice would be great as I am still at an intro level.

Thank you for your response.

Get virtual dj pro full.

virtual vinyl is the same product as virtual dj pro full but with the numark logo on it and sold in shops.

How mobile are you? I tell you what, years of lugging around wheels of steel makes a man tired. I love walking up the stairs with my controller and setting up within just a few minutes. Which reminds me, why are clubs always either second, or lower level? Just about every club I have worked in has had stairs involved.

I recently bought 2 Stanton T.92 Turntables and some serato timecoded vinyl, I can not seem to get the VDJ Pro Full 7 Software to work with these turntables. I also have a hercules DJ Console RMX. I have the 2 Turntables connected to the Hercules RMX console and the console attached to my Laptop... What should I do to fix this?

sorry to jump on this forum but nobody seems to be answering me.

From your description it sounds me to as if you haven't got it set up correctly.

With a timecode setup, you don't just plug your turntables into the mixer the same way
you would when playing vinyl.....

Do some research on Google into how a timecode vinyl system is wired, and you'll figiure it out.
